"Frontier"

"Frontier is an upcoming Canadian-American historical drama television series ... will chronicle the North American fur trade of the late 18th century."

a lot of men nowadays get that great feeling when they are in the ''wild'', old frontier...why is that?
... as I mentioned in the films forum, it was not an easy life...food just wasn't there to buy...no doctors/dentists around...no running water...just the basics--food and water--was a chore to get
..but some thrived on it ...they were 'born' for it
my co-worker is like that ...loves being alone, away from people, away from the city...he traps, hunts, etc...not afraid of confrontation--which is a fault of his many times....but he seems to be able to fix anything, etc....
....

It is action packed and the scenery is beautiful as always in these Early Fur Trade movies.
I'd like to get my hands on The Good Regiment: The Carignan Salie'res Regiment in Canada 1665-1668 by Jack Verney.
Sent to Canada by King Louis XlV to quell the Iroquois attacks strangling the fur based economy & the tiny settlements in New France.
