Struggle of Empires

Just played SoE for the first time a couple weeks ago. Not a traditional war game per se but plenty of warring nonetheless. I am glad I bought this, despite the difficulty in finding 4-7 players for this several hour behemoth. Plenty of strategy and never enough turns to make all of the moves you want. The combat system also worked out well. One player did get screwed by bad dice rolling during ship travel so we may make a house rule for that.

Has anybody else played this?
