Maybe he's not a gunner anymore, but a reconnaissance operator. Or maybe he's the slowest member of the crew and thinks he's so cool. Maybe his job is to look at intercepting fighter pilots and give them the funny looks, so he can go see it on television or the internet later and have a laugh. Maybe he's in charge of secretly spreading the weather control chemicals that Russia will use when they attack North America and Europe. Maybe he's the ESP mind control guru whose job is to find out how to make fighter pilots go insane and the guns are actually psychic wave concentrators. Maybe... no, I've got to stop this.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning... The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
..great vid the one about the TU-95 training flight out of Engel; i couldnt hold my delight to see the face of a brand new commisioned aircrew from the US or Australia being thrown on board one of them for the first assignement...."what is this ....a slide rule..????...what do you use it for...??"...hee hee..!

Achtung, do you mean when the pilots of the bomber flew so low that when they turned their wing clipped the water and the plane crashed into the sea? Yes that is the last photo of that bomber airborne, along with its crew. Sad, but they should've known.
And here is the video footage.
It is always more difficult to fight against faith than against knowledge.

I once saw an RAF Red Arrows Hawk clip the pennant on the top of a yacht mast while doing a low level inverted crossover manoeuvre at Weymouth, Dorset, England. The pennant and the small 'stick' it was on were ripped off, but thankfully the pilot and aircraft survived the hit.
I've actually seen the Russians do that sort of thing. It was 2 Tu 16 in the Sea of Japan and they flew by us (USS Enterprise) several times below flight deck level with two F-14's glued to their tails...
I remember holding a penthouse up over my window while being 'escorted' back in the day.
Hey, do any of our Russian members have photos of them escorting US planes?
I want to see if my was saved for posterity...
I remember when my high school Aerospace class toured a P-3 Orion stopping through. The sailors on the flight crew mentioned that they would drop Playboys on the decks of Soviet ships through the manual sonabouy tube.
