4th Inf. Div.

Not my favourite unit I've been in but here I am in Khandahar, Afghanistan with them my last year on active duty.

OIFVeteran2003 is on the path to success [1-99]
I was with 2-20 FA in the 4th Infantry from 2002-2005. Never saw Afghanistan but I did serve in Iraq with them.

I was under the 4th SB while in Iraq. Sure liked them better than the other unit that left without telling any down traces.

Never heard much bad talk about them and I knew a few guys that were OPCON to them. Every unit has it's good, bad and the ugly. Make the best out of it.

Only Army unit

4th ID is the only Army unit ever to have a US Navy Destroyer anchor delivered to them.....

Look up Destoyer Anchor Fort Carson on google.

Happened about 25 years ago.

You'd be amazed at the story.

I'll have to google it someday, I've heard a couple different versions of the story.

I did just that. What ever is there it must be buried deeply.
