Tech problems with this website?

For the past week or so I have been having a really tough time on just this website - and this is happening on both my laptop and my desktop. The site runs very slow and my Mozilla Flash Player keeps crashing whenever I am on here.

Is anyone else having a problem?

I've had my settings set on plain for a couple of years to stop the lag and other stuff.

Give it a try.

Cool This sucks...

I'm using Google Chrome and the site is very wonky. All the others that I'm running appear to be OK this one though, freezes, is slow and occasionally just gives me the message that the page has failed and do I want to wait for it to maybe get better or to just kill it.

No problems with Opera which uses the Chrome engine!

It seems that even with constantly updating to the latest version of Chrome, FF, Edge, Opera, etc. that the constant modifications to HTML3-4-5 code makes the engine updates almost besides the point. On many sites, it's possible to be running the most current version and have the site implode because the devs are mixing too many tools together to have the site stay coherent. Sometimes, I can have a video engine fail in one (FF, for instance) but works in Edge. Or if a site was built sometime ago and not refreshed, it might work well in IE but not Edge. All depends and is somewhat frustrating.

Then it would seem logical that everyone has the problem as its a site isue but this is obviously not the case.

Was referring in general, not specifically to this site. In fact, more than likely, specific machine configs (softwarewise) for users will more than likely be the culprit for his issue but you and others pointed that out already.

This AM, I had an interesting problem with a user. She was trying to access a patient record in order to replicate some data to a new piece of software. However, each time she tried to access it, the fat client software would kick back and state -sic- 'unable to access record'. (Without a doubt, I have a hard time getting users to actually understand how PrtScn + Wordpad can tell me more or make fixing things easier. Why I have no idea but there it is, I can setup help files and docs and show them how to do it but ultimately it's just easier for them to lean in and say, hey, I have a "problem". Oooh, scary words....)

Thus, while doing some necessary detective work, I checked to see if anyone else tried getting to that recordset. The user told me that she had tried to get to it using someone elses' logon (uhoh, bad on her). Then, I had another (power)user try to do the same procedure which actually initiated but blew up at the end. Apparently, it went further than the first users attempt. We tried it with a full-on doctors profile and the same happened.

So I tried it using my own profile (vendor software profile, that is) which actually returned - access privilege record lock not usable at present - WTH? Data view allowed but record is locked? I've seen this before on the wayback machines. According to the user, she could still print out physically the paperwork and then scan it into the new software. Didn't make sense to me so I had someone check with the software vendor to see what was up. Don't like to touch their gear much unless I absolutely have to. Turns out that they occasionally have a record lock where the workstation ID can be set on the records even if the record has been released but the workstation has been signed off or even turned off. Again, seen this before on a variety of platforms and like other systems, they login and manually turn the workstation id bits off. Ughhhly.

Fortunately, the new bit of software is just as likely to do the same. Even though it is a "Cloud" environment, we had the same issue and the support guys would come back and say the devs are working on the issue and have been for some time. The hilarious bit is that the "cloud-based" tool really likes using FF and NOT Chrome or IE or Edge. And they explicitly say so.

Nice to see the more things change, the more they stay the same. Makes me feel like I'm still in a 5250 vs 3270 vs VT world.

Not sure how being across the Atlantic insulates one from problems on a shared site. Is this the Mahan theory of the Internet?
