Thank you for the nice words, but there doesn't seem to be much interest for any of the stuff of other eras, that's why I gave up posting Pike & Shot and Medieval stuff,
and why I haven't started an Ancients paintings thread. Just not worth the bother, I guess if it doesn't involve British or Americans it doesn't have appeal, with the exception of Napoleonics wich seem to be universally popular thanks to the wargaming crowd.

I will keep posting on this thread to promote the Great War, wich is a very neglected topic, there's lots of Second World War artwork, but WWI is very rare, save for aviation art.

U-53 sinking an american vessel. Actually the artist mixed up the real sinking of an US ship while America was still neutral, with a Q-ship action.

Looked like the torpedo had hit, and that cloud of smoke behind the sub is hard to figure out.
