If they found the tomb of Genghis Khan I wouldn't have a problem with them mentioning that Genghis Khan conquered vast territories, enslaved millions and slaughtered entire cities that resisted his empire.
However, the article is completely negative with respect to de Gama, as would be expected of the current anti-European PC crowd. The writer doesn't say, he was "the first to..." or he did this positive or that. Everything is aimed at dissing de Gama as a European Imperialist bent on conquest and looting.
I'd expect this writer to wax eloquent about the Chinese treasure fleet of Zheng He. I'm sure these were only looking for equitable trade and treating all they met fairly...
