As near as I can tell, Maureen O'Hara (91) & Esther Williams (90) are the only two lasses still with us at this time.

Deanna Durbin, Olivia de Havilland and Zsa Zsa Gabor are still alive.

Yup, in looking further, you are correct, mate.

Olivias sister, Joan Fontaine, is still with us, as well.

Zsa Zsa nearly passed last May after going into a coma. She supposedly had leakage of her feeding tube. She came out of her coma not long after hospitalization.

Nobody mentioned Penny during our run-up phase and I never would have thought of her, quite frankly. Yes, she was certainly attractive. Bit 'borderline' in the age department, having been born in 1908 (I think our oldest candidates were born 1910).
I think you'll find your last pic is Rita Hayworth.

I dunno, I thought Hedy Lamar would go all the way ... but she's already knocked out in the first damn round!
And I thought it would be between Rita and Betty in the end.
We'll just have to see.

IMO, Lana should be just about a dead cert for finalist. Rita, Jane, Yvonne or Gene as the other one. Betty, I'm guessing, might be eliminated in a quarter-final or semi-final, which is where I'd expect to lose Esther as well. I share your surprise about Hedy in this first round; particularly the size of the margin, but at the same time I couldn't see her making it to the very end.

She was in the images of Penny Singleton. And I didn't have my glasses on. A boo-boo. I never thought of Penny THEN

I don't know who came up with this idea, but they deserve a medal.

On a side note I can see the final round is gonna be a doozie

I agree! I don't think any of these rounds are going to be easy! Even Round one involved painful sacrifices in some cases.

No complaining from me however. I feel the more painful the campaign is the better it's been created.

I just joined up. Whadda a way to get started. Redheads always get a rise out of me and Susan Hayward just does it for me.
I second the notion whoever started this should get a medal.

Welcome to the forums, Gonzales, and I'm glad to see you are enjoying yourself already. It was a group of us that put this together but I think I can speak for us all in saying we appreciate the feedback.
