Probably sums it up VERY nicely.........

I used to worry about my oldest daughter more than I do now until one of her idiot ex-boyfriends tried to grab her one day. She pushed him off her and punched him in the jaw. Knocked him out cold.

Somehow she managed to lift those 155 shells......I honestly don't know how. She might have been 115 pounds soaking wet when I saw her in January.
It drives me nuts, but the most important attributes in a person can't be measured. I also love it! It sounds like she worked real hard for it.

Aye, when moving 5"/54 cal rounds (~72# with the protective cap) at the ammo pier, it wasn't all that difficult. When passing hundreds every day down to the magazines in weather it got a bit harder...never became impossible.

I loved the call for "all E-6 and below".

Heather, don't let it drive you nuts, her most important attributes were measured and she excelled by all accounts.

There is a lot of verbal in the media and forums of people talking on the subject on TV, many who have never been in a wartime killing situation getting quite heated on the subject, which is, an enemy soldier being shot by an Australian soldier after being taken Prisoner. Prisoner???, a very fine line must be, and usually is drawn at those sort of moments in battle. Was that man that was shot undeniably a prisoner? If he was shot in those moments before hand, he became just one of those hundreds that have met their ends in that way, particularly in Street and house fighting. Any Soldier that took part in those episodes of fighting will give a bitter smile about this, for they will all remember the order, 'Take no prisoners' !! And the amount of men that died in that way on both sides. Now was this instance that is causing such a flurry in Australia at the moment basically that? There has been no suggestion that it was, but it does raise a question mark on the subject. lcm1

So the four of us were informally discussing the current state of simulation & modeling in the USMC. There was a knock on the door so I opened it and a young woman in civilian clothes walks in. She had just graduated TBS and she was looking for additional FO training before she reported to her MOS school; Fort Sill.

Within 2 weeks of the SecDef order about opening the Combat Arms to women.......we had a Female Marine with orders to become an Artillery Officer.
That Infantry Captain that I mentioned above is assuming Command of a Company tomorrow. The Company is the first one to have a woman Infantry Marine.

Back when I first posted this thread the Captain commented on how we had just witnessed history.......now he is making history in his infantry company.
