Good find. Despite some faults, Foote's Civil War trilogy is rightfully considered a classic.

Thanks enjoyed the article. I also think that the Trilogy is one of the better efforts on the Civil War,especially for new to intermediate students. I also enjoyed Foote's " southern charm" on Ken Burns Civil War.
