Just think of all the Government jobs the 111+ new bureaucratic are going to produce.

Will they cover the million+ jobs that are going to be lost as a result of this takeover by Pelosi of the health care system? probably not.

Once this passes in the Senate, and it will even if Reid has to use the nuclear option, there will be mass retirement of doctors that are close to or have reached retirement age.

We can then look forward to Cap and Trade being passed before the end of the year.

By the end of 2012;
Bush taxcuts expired, the old rates now restored and in effect.
Cap and Trade regulations in full effect.
Health care controls and taxes in full effect.
Economic Armageddon that will make The Great Depression look like the roaring 20s.
Massive protest and riots that will make the 9-11 tea party look like the nothing that the dishonest media reported it as being.
Political suicide for Democrats in the 2012 elections.
Martial Law nationwide as Pelosi reacts to the massive protest and prospects of being thrown out of power.
Soon, the NWO takes control.

Obama praised the House in a statement and said he is "absolutely confident" that the Senate will pass its version of the legislation. "I look forward to signing it into law by the end of the year," he said."

Anarchy at work

"So that’s it this is how the country ends. The people have made it clear that they don’t want this bill and the government gives them a big you. It must be time to seriously think about lining them all against the wall of the capital building and leaving a large pile of bodies behind."

Democracy at work
Of course, if the bill does pass the Senate and becomes law and it proves to be too expensive and/or unworkable, the American voter will have the opportunity to vote for someone campaigning to repeal it. It's as simple as that.
The problem is that a program like this is almost impossible to repeal once if becomes law.

If this bill, or a substantially similar bill, gets through the Senate, it will be impossible to repeal unless the Republicans achieve a 60-seat majority in the Senate and win the White House back. The passage of this bill actually will increase the GOP's chances of winning a majority in at least one House of Congress next year. If did manage to win back both Houses and repealed the health-care law, Obama would veto the repeal. If the GOP wins the White House back in 2012 and gains majorities in both Houses, the Democrats could block the repeal of the law in the Senate unless the GOP has 60 votes to overcome a Democrat filibuster.

The good news is that there currently aren't 60 votes in the Senate for this bill; at least 10 Democrat Senators won't vote for it. The bad news is that the Senate leadership might be able to ram this through with 50 votes by misusing certain parliamentary procedures.

In a way this is a win-win for the GOP. If the GOP prevents this bill from becoming law, they will pick up ~25 House and ~3 Senate seats next year. If the Democrats ram this bill through by narrow partisan majorities, the GOP will pick up ~80 House and ~8 Senate seats next year.

Fifty-four percent (54%) now oppose the legislative effort, up three points since last week.

Yeah, I like that idea.

Simplicity has a virtue that for some reason I cannot explain I find tremendously appealing and nobody in my entire life has ever found a way to replace.

Screech Pelosi - after reneging on her promise that Americans would have 72 hours to read more than 2000 pages (by allowing only 36 hours) & then putting it to the vote - has signed the 10' 'political death' warrant of every Congress member which voted for this in every district that is even moderately marginal in this country.

The argument by Congress members that voted for this, those that will say 'don't worry, none of these crazy parts of the bill will ever make it out of committee or reconciliation' will fall on deaf ears because the very act of allowing something like this to even get this far is unforgivable to those that oppose it for a myriad of reasons. The reckoning of independents alone will make sure of this & in no uncertain terms.

I'm independent of all parties, (if it ain't in the constitution, or amendable to it, it ain't diddly) though calling me a moderate (a general fence sitter with their finger in the air waitin to see which way the wind blows before taking a stand) would be a big mistake, there are as many indies like me as there are fence sitters... & in ever increasing numbers. The very real threat of such totalitarian enactments as this only drives more from the party politic to the Constitution & exercise of their vote in greater numbers.

If nothing else... Screech Pelosi (under NO threat of opposition in her district) has virtually shot each of her party members that are in marginal districts - and they are a great many - in the arse. Now they must sit on it until many are put out of their misery by their constituents next year...

Silver Lining?

Nyenh... depends on the tenacity of those that oppose!

Complaining will accomplish nothing...

Only reasoned & rational opposition & a holding of their feet to the fire will rule the days ahead.

Granted, this poll was taken a little over a month ago but I fail to see where anything has come about to lower this number......
http://wellsy.wordpress.com/2009/09/...t-health-care/
...... except for the 2% increase in un-employment since it was taken. I don't believe that would change it though. I have written both of my Senators http://www.senate.gov/general/contac...nators_cfm.cfmand told them that the House failed to represent the wishes of their constituants, I expect and demand a "NO" vote from both of them (Webb and Warner) when the Bill reaches the Senate.

There was a time when I would have dismissed all of this out of hand as foolish. I would have dismissed it as some type of conspiracy, shadow government, wack-job rant. I would have called this patently insane or, some kind of screenplay for a movie about a banana republic going through it's fifth revolution in 10 years.

Then I began to more fully understand the destructive, adolescent mind of the new-age liberal. The utter lack of cogent reasoning, rational analysis and recognition of proven fact. I guess I have the Great Pretender to thank for completing my education.

What is coming is on the hands of the pseudo-intellectual marxists. The control freak elites who, demand fealty from the populace. The political class that, long ago lost touch with the people they purport to represent. Liars and thieves.

I guess I feel sorry for Mr. Cao. What a naive fool. Used as a poster boy by his most holy telepromterness. Behold, the only Republican to see the light, for he is not old and white. I guess to be perfect, he would have to be female. No matter, it serves the purpose of the won.

Very strange days are coming. If we can somehow survive the radical boomers, we will be just fine. If........

Exactly. I was going to say the same thing. The only thing that ever happens is that, depending on the current administration, the growth slows or accelerates. Once in place these bureaucracies never go away. Especially as more and more people have jobs tied up with them in one way or another.

A good example would be the regulations that caused the current financial crisis. Still there, and no one is talking about getting rid of them. In fact they are talking about expanding them.
