Messerschmitt project 1943. "Modular" aircraft.

I found this strange project of Messerschmitt 1943.

Somebody maybe know more about this? Was this project achievable? Did allies captured something of that project?

It was only ever a paper project.

This is a sort of aviation, 'Holy Grail,' a single airframe adaptable to any mission, but nobody's ever managed it yet.

The benefits are obvious, but the technical problems have so far proven to be insurmountable - just about everybody's tried it at one time or another.

The F4 Phantom came pretty close to being an "everything" aircraft; air superiority fighter, fighter bomber and reconnaissance roles and flew from airfields and aircraft carriers.

It also proved that if you strapped powerful enough engines to it, even a brick will fly

This plan was not really feasible, due to problems with hose engines in the later series and a viable airframe for all uses...

The Germans were desperate to try to combat the allies in he battle for airspace, and it was a hopeless, as the allies were over Germany 24/7 and the bomber escorts were getting better by the day.
