I think the best thing to do would be to write a letter of the finders experience and research, include photos of the find site and bracelet. In the letter you can ask if they would like the bracelet returned, often they will want you to keep it. I also appreciate your effort, continue the good work.

Perhaps if the finder would rather not keep it the Infantry Div: he belonged to (if it still exists) has a memorial museum that would accept it.I find that his brother showing such little interest bothers me,it is like no one cares enough and somebody should,he met a violent end in war as a young man are there no tears left for him anywhere in his family? lcm1

How many posts have you made with that remark in your posts? Shouldn't the moderators act on this?

It is his signature.
For one thing I don't see what is wrong with it. What do you see that is wrong with it?

"With over 1.5 billion followers or over 22% of earth's population"
Then you wouldn't see anything wrong with a person's "signature" being "anti-Catholic", "anti-Protestant" etc? Not that I would. Ever.
Or any other generic group?

What is the matter with you all,it is about a dead soldiers bracelet, not an anti religion argument, spare a thought for the man and the way his life ended,God, even his own brother apparently did not want to know. Was he that bad? lcm1

I am pleased to report that contact has been made with Gordon Strom's grandson and the artifacts will be returned to the family in due course.

I figger'd this was another case of "no good deed goes unpunished" but was glad to see positive ending. Good on you, David Layne. Happy New Years to all. --'smoke.
