Its not as easy as that as so many regualtions and so forth will then come together, taxation etc etc which will apply to non Euro countries. There comes a point where those out side the Euro just wont fit. So its either go all in or back away.

Maybe - I've also heard the Euro in its present form won't last - and that we're headed for a split between northern and southern euros.
Then - for me at least - there's also the question wether Belgium itself will persist in its present form, by no means a certainty either -
I'm really not qualified to predict the outcome an issue as complex as this, as long as I'll be welcome in London and Brighton, it's all the same to me

LOL - What about a grudge for selfishly joining the EU
|
Ask Poland - plenty of British cash (amongst other net contributors) to subsidise their agriculture and industrialise. But of course in alice in wonderland Euroland that is not selfish its just solidarity!

Yep, coming thick and fast now - more of our friends deeply concerned for our future.
This time the Germans.
As always with the European Adventure there is the implied threat that if do not continue to obey our American and European Friends we out in the cold.
Some cold - some friends, as a well known Briton might have said.

Mercedes and Karcher will still want to sell us stuff. This is about the money we put in and who might also folow us out of the door.... What will be, will be but re-asserting our democracy is worth the risk. Our grandparents endured much worse and the moon won't fall from the sky. Whats more it would be interesting to see what happens when there's suddenly a state just of the European continent with even lower business and employment regulation than before....
Furthermore if Cameron is seen to bend before Berlin and Washington over this, he's history...

Bad news is I Don't see The Tories holding on. Labour will be in power in 2015 unless something spectacular happens.

Personally I think we'll get another hung parliament because despite Dave's problems people really don't like Bert and Ernie. A Geneal Election will put the spotlight firmly on Milliband and I suspect it won't work for him. The fact that he shafted his brother really doesn't resonate and he just looks like a PC world tech geek which might seem shallow to say that but the world is pretty shallow. Now if his brother was in charge that may be a different story. Mrs Thatcher was in more dire polling straits than this; she still kicked Kinnocks arse though. Another hung parliament though me thinks. If I'm wrong then this country is dumber than I thought....Its time for some Realpolitik, Cameron is bad but the alternative...
