GCoyote seems to live in the cold war because Belgian I corps dates from long time ago.I served in it for a while long time ago.
I have the right to express opinions about what NATO should do.I always advocate a stronger role for Belgium in NATO.

NATO will not act...

..I have said this before and it seems Russia's having Europe's fuel supplies crossing through her lands has a great deal to do with NATO's reluctance to act.
It may be up to us alone. This would be a bluff but go to DEFCON Two and tell the Russians, get out...OR ELSE. This would be extreme but it would certainly get their attention.
No, I think things right now are a fait accompli. However, if they move on Poland or the Ukraine, the option I mentioned above might not be too far fetched. I am not sure if they could tell if President Bush was bluffing or not.
I hope things never get to that point but Putin and his Russian thugs must be stopped.
