Is Subotai an underrated military genius?

Given his long career and his 70-odd large-scale victories, would it be fair to call Subotai one of history's most underrated military geniuses?

I think he gets great publicity, but then that's my main field of study, so I guess I see info on him all the time.

Definetely. Unfortunately, he is not as popular and well known. Being subordinate to Genghis Khan does not help either. Genghis Khan does cast a large shadow. There are many popular and celebrated generals out there that can't hold a candle to him.
