i took a look into this game, and found that yes it's free, but you can only gain levels up to the 10th lvl, after that you will need a subscription to progress any further.

i find that to be an interesting way to attract new customers, and actually i like the idea. i like it when a company offers some free time to play an MMO, lets one decide if it's worth that monthly fee or not. infact, that is how i got started in Matrix Online, thru a free 10 day trial period.
