Op HARDIHOOD AAR?

Chaps,

I'm trying to find the 173d's AAR from Operation HARDIHOOD in mid-1966. I've been able to locate AARs from the relevant time period such as Operation HOLLANDIA, but no such luck on the HARDIHOOD front. Is there a good location to find AARs online?

The 173d Airborne Brigade's ORLL for the period is available at http://www.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/388152.pdf but the AARs have been published separately and the one for HARDIHOOD can't be found online afaik. You're best bet is to look throught the 1ATF diaries here: https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/re...p?levelID=1161.

Thanks Boonie. Sadly it's not on the microfilm holdings that contain the 173d's other operations for 1966, and 1ATF recorded minimal information on the US contribution to HARDIHOOD (understandable under the circumstances). My fear at this point is that an AAR doesn't actually exist, which would be extremely annoying - just had a flick through NARA and it appears to have most of the 173d's ops listed, but nothing for HARDIHOOD. Then again, NARA's Vietnam stuff is supposed to a rabbit warren so I guess there's still hope.

Tow places might have it. The Army War College in Carlisle, or NARA College Park. I know both have copying available for a fee. The Defense Technical Center DTIC has the AAR on film Access number is AD 394024
