World of Warships (Optional Battle Interface)
I was actually aware of the advantages of selecting this option for some time. I did not use is because when you go to select it it has a warning that it might adversely affect performance.
Well I supposedly barely have the capacity to run the game and I noticed no problems using it.
It will give you the player name and class of ship for friendlies and enemies you see in addition to their health bar.
More importantly is will give the distance to your target and the flight time in seconds of your selected shells. This is a great tool for estimating the "lead" when shooting at targets at any range.
For each second of "time of flight" allow one tick on your binoculars aiming line for ships traveling 20 kts and a tick and a half for those traveling 30. If you can take the time you can even count the ticks a ship moves along the aiming line in a second or to for a more precise shot.
Of course you still have to allow for angles of travel and turning but it gives an accurate TOF to the target's current location and a great assisting tool.
