Indeed. Hitler's Peoples' Car, developed by Ferdinand Porsche of Tiger Tank fame.

Of course, after the war, Messerschmidt also made cars for a while, while during the same war, Henry Ford and company made military vehicles and tanks, while Boeing, the primary passenger carrier throughout the word, built the bomber that dropped the first atom bombs.

No one studies history any more.
