Resident Evil on the X-Box 360

Well over a decade ago I used to play the Resident Evil games on my PS1 and PS2. My two young boys would watch, (as much as I'd let them) as I played. Then I just stopped, not only Resident Evil but all games. I just stopped playing.

The younger of my two boys is 18 now and he recently coaxed me onto his 360 to play RE5. It took me a while to get used to the controls and I had to put up with loads of abuse for being rubbish but it was well worth the effort!

RE5 is more fight based with less puzzles than the old games but it was still great. Very slick and entertaining - fast paced and fun. Great game.

After I had completed RE5 I moved onto RE6. Only put an hour or two into it and hated it!!!
They were doing something like what I guess a first person shooter is. Whatever it is its just not Resident Evil and I have no plans to revisit it.

Then I moved onto the earlier game RE4... BULLSEYE!
It's got all the great gameplay and graphics of modern consul games but it's managed to retain everything that was great about the old RE games. What it does best is creating that suspenseful spooky atmosphere of the old games. Fantastic. I'm about halfway through it.

RE4 and RE5 have made me realise that I have wasted the last ten years of my life by not playing consul games.
RE6 - The less said the better.

I just got RE5 on a trade in. Based on a number of reviews I don't think I'll get RE6. I finished RE: Revelations a few months ago and it's one of my fave console games. The story mode is scary and fun and it has a decent two player game. Plus, I'm a Jill Valentine fanatic.

LOL. I was always a Lara Croft man myself but after RE5 Sheva has it for me. As I said, I thought 5 was great and hope you get as much fun out of it as I did.
I've just completed 4 for the second time around and my opinion of that hasn't changed... it's fantastic. (I always enjoy a reply. The first time around it's like you are being bullied, second time it's your turn to give some back because you know what you are doing and you have the upgraded weapons.)

Good luck with Resie 5.

I plated RE5 a while back-its the only RE game I really liked, although I didn't get too far into it (rental) I just bought it from Amazon for $10. It'll be here Monday!
