The Lest of Us PS3

Anyone playing?
I picked it up for supposedly being the "best console game ever"+the zombie genre which I'm into.
Haven't played much of it at all since I'm supposed to study, but so far the story seems like it has so much potential but is mediocre and the gameplay is nothing too special either....
Thoughts?

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't the "best game ever" that so many claimed, but it had a solid narrative and interesting character interactions.

Its greatest quality was the method in which they retold the "zombie apocalypse" by incorporating cordyceps. Combined with the great influence placed on the setting from McCarthy'sThe Road I think you have yourself a believably creepy and captivating story of survival and companionship.

Gameplay-wise its definitely above average, every movement and environment interaction is carefully managed and has weight to it. There are also nice little touches such as placing a hand on a wall for balance when walking too close to one, or the way in which light sources subtly direct your attention to the next objective.

Combat is fun but nothing special, combined with the odd fact that you find ammo from "infected" that don't use weapons, and find nothing of the sort on bandits which use guns.

Overall, pretty darn good but not even one of my favorites ultimately.

Haha yeah, to be honest, I have had a 360 since 07 or so, but TLOU was the game that finally made me break down and buy a PS3. I'm working my way through some of the other "must-play" exclusives now. Overall I consider the purchase worth it, especially since prices on used ones are super low these days, maybe even more so when the PS4 drops.

Yeah, if the reviews are good I'll buy one just for this game.
