I maybe wrong here, Giuseppe... but I'm pretty sure that Paul is making a friendly joke.
Paul posted a lot of images and you followed him with your own images. Then... Paul asked "Is this a declaration of war?", as if you two had been competing to see who posts the most images.

Ah, a joke, a match! But there's no match, Ottenfeld is passed away about 100 years ago and me, I'm living now.
Hold on there 'G' It was only a joke because as soon as artistry comes up, there is a chance that you and 'Comp' will have a public snipe at each other as you had seemed to have done a few posts back. Then you posted your excellent studies of Napoleonic soldiery which again seemed to me a thumb to nose gesture.
As for Ottenfeld, I posted those pictures (I have another 60 pictures of his that I did not post due to them not being of the period) on this thread to share with everyone, a thing I do all the time and I will be posting more interesting (though from a different brush) pictures on here and the Best Uniform site very soon.

I don't think we've too many points of contrast. For what I've argued he's a teacher of contemporary art who loves old napoleonic art, I'm a contemporary artist who paints napoleonic art. We live in parallel universes, then nothing to share.
