I wonder what happened to the arrow wound to the back they were supposed to have found?
The arrow turns out to have been a roman nail.

No ones said if its going to be a full State funeral or a quiet affair. Probably going to be a half and half affair.
Personally I think he deserves the full bells and whistles. But I'm a Yorkshire lad so I would think that.

I agree he deserves it..and there definitely hasn't been any doubt to his bravery in battle..

Sadly, there's the issue of the missing princes which might given the frenzy there is over Jimmy Saville may rear it's ugly head. He went down fighting though.

I would suggest reading Josephine Tay's "the daughter of time'.
He had been declared the legitimate king by Parliament. Being without Heir ( his wife & son died), his Brothers' sons could be re - legitimised as his heirs
If he did not re marry & have issue. Teh Lancasterian cause had EVERY reasonto see the little fellows snuffed.

Half way through. For those of you that are interested the bones were the first item found in the first trench on the first day.
The area of the carpark they were found in had a big R painted on it.
He wasn't exactly hiding was he?

They seem to have found the bones in the first trench they dug.
How did they know so precisely where he would be?

They didn't. It seems to have been a pure fluke.

He's the last Plantagenet King and the last one to die in battle .I think he should get a decent send off. Not massive , but well decent...

I've just seen, on telly, the descendant who gave the DNA sample.
He's a Canadian carpenter.
Would he not have some kind of claim?

You're probably right.
But what led them to the council car park in the first place? Presumably, the location of the King's burial place was not known about when the car park was being developed.

In the Channel 4 programme they said that his arm bones were slight, which would have given them a female looK so as far as I'm concerned Shakespeare got him pretty accurate though the Larry Olivier portrayal was perhaps rather exagerated
