Hi

They have/had medium scale training facilities at Onion training ground/ranges back when I was there in 1986. Also had some difficult ad-hoc training grounds around Mt Adam as well. Must dig out a pic of me doing some leisurely walking up it

Interesting. Can HMS Victory take her one on one?

As I remember it Victory is only carrying fibreglass replica cannon, at least on her main deck.

The cutlasses and boarding pikes are real though.

Wrong question. They could have the entire US Army parked outside Buenos Aires waiting to storm the Falklands, without Navy & Air to transport, supply, reinfirce & cover it wouldn't matter. My understanding is that the Argentine Navy & Air Force simply aren't up to the task at hand. Not even close, in fact.

Here's a list of all vessels currently in the Argentine Navy. I would respectfully say that it doesn't pay to underestimate one's adversaries, because "pride go'weth' before a fall." With the Argentine economy in the tank, a popular and possible national crusade on the far horizon and an unstable woman president at the nation's helm, anything is possible.

The Argentines also have a merchant marine of some 36 large ships, many of which could easily be pressed into national service should the need arise, much the same way the UK's QEII and other ships were used to ferry British troops and equipment to the Falklands in 82. If I were in MI-6, I'd keep a close watch on these 36 merchant ships to see if any major conversions were being made to them as far as carrying troops and light landing craft.

How many torpedoes and missiles does a Traflgar class submarine have?

The Argies could try and send more ships than one sub could realistically sink. Same with planes. A mass attack by most of their airforce, while costly could swamp the Typhones and enable troops to be landed.

Who knows? The practical possibilities are endless. Best case British scenerio. "Be ever vigilant and not let down your guard."

I would say that if a few big targets were holed the rest would seek safe harbour pretty fast. Are they a better navy now than in the last war when they stayed in port?

Hi

Exact figures are kept under wraps but most sources say it ranges between
25-35, a mixture of missile or torpedo
