In an effort to inspire more people to write scenarios for Harpoon, especially H3/ANW and the HUD-4 database, I've put together a random generation scenario design system and posted it on Harpgamer. Enjoy!

(By the way, I have no idea what Herman is saying because he is on my Ignore list now. There simply does not seem to be any purpose to further conversation with him. I like the HUD-4 and I write scenarios with it because I happen to enjoy it. That's really all there is. When I think I've put together one that works and is fun, I post it because I see no reason not to share it with people. I hope they enjoy it, too. However, I would like to apologize again for having quarreled with him on this forum--you guys should not have to waste your time reading junk like that. From now on, I'm just going to focus on Harpoon. Herman can do what he wants.)
Another link, the newest update to the HUD-4 database (April 1, 2013). Gunny (the database editor) is currently converting the information in the database to new standards provided by AGSI and Larry Bond. He is also addressing issues as they are reported (only a couple of stubborn bugs remain at this point...not bad for a database with about two thousand aircraft, ships, and subs) and adding new platforms as time allows.
There are a number of excellent third party databases available for Harpoon, but the HUD-4 is now the official one for ANW, and probably the one closest to Larry Bond's vision of what Harpoon should be.
No, seriously. That's the whole point. Fun. Whatever databases you like, play the game, tell folks how you did with a particular scenario, write your own scenarios, share them, talk about them, and have a good time. That's what matters.
