You mean this isn't normal for you?
Given the state of things I'm not surprised we're all more bitter and cynical.

The Tories arent liked, why should they be, they're cutting in harsh times but compared to the rest of Europe we're generally in better shape and I think the public mostly understands this. Anyway Cameron's biggest weapon at the next election is Ed Milliband. The public have to be able to imagine Ed as P.M and I just don't think they do or will...

No, they're unelectable even if the ConDems continue to plough the same debased furrow. This explains things pretty well.

Imagine Milliband as PM? Jesus, not even he is unbalanced enough for that. You can see failure running wild and free in his eyes every time he pollutes the airways with his presence.
Then you have Balls, now he is stupid enough to see himself as PM, and you can see that written in every part of his body language, one of these days he's going to crack in the commons and bitch slap Milliband to death on the floor of the house screaming "Your sitting in my seat you smarmy greasy git" . Luckily its also clear that while his lights are on there is literally no one at home, he appears to be the only person in the PLP that is actually thicker than Milliband.
Got to love his name though. Balls. Perfect name to humiliate a politician with. And that is why probably the Labour Party will never allow him to try to run for the job for fear of being humiliated even more than they already are.

They picked the wrong Milliband purely on the basis of the Unions navel gazing. Still it could happen...

No, they picked the best one.... If not being electable was your main priority. The other one might have actually pulled it off.

I do, mate. Don't you think the elder brother looks like a vampire? Or a Leech? Something blood sucking and parasitical anyway.

Every time there has been a Tory Government in last 50 years, their voters have deserted them at mid term by-elections only to return at the General Elections. In the past it was Liberals who dreamed of a break thought only to smashed at the next general election (remember Eastbourne, Christchurch etc) now it is UKIP who is in the same place.

While I agree with everyone here, to whit Labour are a disaster and the Ed's are inept and scary.
We're forgetting some things:
1: The tories are hampered by their Partners.
2: Without the electroal reform Labour have a about a 10% advantage. See point one...
3: Never under estimate the "Ma' Dad voted labour, so t's good enough for me" crowd.
So it could be that the Lib Dems sulking after being told to get bent in the refrendum are going to screw this country up massivley.

The curent polls put Labour on track to win with a majortiy of 114 seats http://http://ukpollingreport.co.uk/
With the right in increasing chaos over Europe and the centre left only having Labour as an option as Libdem collapse the path to Number 10 seems very clear. The path for a Tory victory looks very difficult to see.
Even if UKIP blows itself up its hard to see the Tories getting it back together especially with Osborne's Plan A patently not working.

Well if Plan A is borrowing £100 billion pounds a year at 1% interest, what is Plan B? Borrowing £120 billion pounds a year at 5% interest?
Only morons and dishonest, opportunistic politicians don't think we have a huge debt problem.

I'd vote for the first one that admitted we are going to have to pay more taxes to clear the mess.

interesting to look at the Economist website http://http://www.economist.com/cont...bal_debt_clock
this shows which country is where in tems of debt. Two things surprised me. One is that the US debt is reasonably affordable comparred to its GDP and the other, bigger surprise is that the UK debt is increasing so fast. How can that be when there is a clear austerity programme in place. UK debt iincreased this year by over 10% compared to just over 2% for France. Interesting to note that most western nations seem to running a a debt per person of around $36,000.
With UK debt increasing, austerity not delivering the reduction in defeci promised and lots of emotion over the EU it seems tough for Cameron to win, especially with Boris standing in the wings doing his warm up excercises.
