Bin Laden planned to kill Obama, and allow Biden to succeed him.
"Biden is totally unprepared for that post. If Obama were killed and Biden took control of the White House, bin Laden wrote, it would lead the US into a crisis."

Unfortunately the US is already in a crisis, led by President Obama.
Want to kill Obama? Easy, just dress up like George Clooney, promise to throw a fund raising party then tell him that no one showed up. He'll die of a crushed heart.

Obviously Bin Laden failed to take into account the fact that we survived Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, and George W. Bush!

It is just comical that Bin Laden thinks Biden would be such an awful president that America would go into a crisis

On a more serious note, people from non-democratic backgrounds frequently fail to grasp how our government works. Our president is public servant, not a typical third world President-for-Life (i.e. the toughest of the local gangsters). Among his many other mistakes, this is another fact about us that bin Laden just did not get.
The POTUS heads only one branch of the US government and is backed up by a veritable army of elected officials, appointees, technocrats, bureaucrats, and large body of professionals. Regardless of the day's headlines, these people will go about their jobs and generally keep the wheels of government turning without significant direction from the White House.
