I'll just go with 3 :3
IS-2
It's crude, slow, and not very comfortable, but it's certainly something you'd not wanna fight; even the HE shell would go through most any WWII tank...
Panther
Beautiful thing, and quite fast, if only they had more space for the final drives...
M26 Pershing
One of the more influential tanks of the war, it was an excellent medium tank, especially in M46 form, and I love the looks, especially the oversized muzzle brake on the original M3 gun... X3

I should have to remind others here of the timeless elegance, the artistic line, the pizzaz, the schutzpa and the just plain sexiness of the M3 Grant.
None had preceded her in these classic, timeless attributes, none have followed.
Paul,... you may now close the thread.

I think we should give everyone a little more time to come around and really appreciate the M3 Medium, Gerry.

I suppose you are right, Paul. Why deny the general population the opportunity to expound at length on their admiration for the General Grant.
Sometimes I forget that the blatantly obvious to us may not be quite so obvious to "the others" (whomever they may be, poor sods).

Thanks for welcoming me, Panther.
Indeed that is a good point. The PIV was designed in 36' and despite its flaws it did a good job and reached its best time in 43', 7 years after it was designed which is pretty old for a tank of that time.

Maybe i used a bit provocative language, because the generalization of calling WW2 era germans, nazis is a bit offensive. But i do not think you used in on purpose so i just wanted to remind people about the correctness that the term Nazis in general is wrong.

Yes, I think it's only fair to give them every opportunity to gain enlightenment. We might even see it as our duty.

I would say one of the best Tiger I photos
(have it on my Mob-phone)
The photo shows a recovery operation….Normandy 1944. Tiger 232 towing Tiger 231 (SS-Panzer-Abteilung 101) to a maintenance facility.
The platoon leader SS-Unterturmfuhrer Hantusch, is in the motorcyclist overcoat

While it's armour makes it close to a PoS, it would have to be the BT-7 m1937. The lines, the speed, the big (for 1937) gun. I was a few hours away from starting a scratch build/conversion when I discovered UM made them in 1/72. Lovely tank, lovely kit.

if you like the BT-7 cop a squiz at this, then ...
IMO, the best injection moulded BT-7 currently available is the new(ish) 1/35 Tamiya kit. It is a model 1935 according to them.

Two British, three German, and one Russian tanks. Churchill and Matilda are fun to learn about. The T-34 was a war winner and good looking tank. The PzIV was so versatile and long-lasting, it has to rate high amongst students of the subject. The Panther was a good looking tank that was the best that a medium tank could hope to be. The Tiger is as effective as the myth, but not worth it for a defensive Germany.

Hello this is today,
My choice is based on quirkyness. To be frank, presently I am a bit blase with the obvious front runners in the WW II tank popularity line up.
Hence: Crusader, actually it's the Cruisers I am going for, throw in a few Soviet BT's and lights, mix in some Italian mediums M13/14/15 and a P 40, to finish off with some far east exotica Ha Go and Te Ke lights.
Btw if it is a poll with "an others" option, How does it work if half of you preferences are other?
Temporarily of roast dinners and into summer foods.
Ed.

Interesting question, Ed. I suppose I could have offered more than one of the 25 slots for 'Other'? (I don't know, I've never tried it! )
Anyway, because we are only allowed a maximum of 25 options, I tried to list the 24 candidates I thought most would be likely to go for and then leave one slot as 'Other' for anything I missed.
I guess you could always tell us what your other Others would have been, had you been able to vote for them!

Well I've shown you some, but at this instant I feel a taste for Begian Pralines. I'll show you what I mean.
