No problem here, Dan. I just want to keep it close to the truth and educational, even if it looks like nitpicking on my part.
The Varangians is another term for Vikings, this is how they were called by the Byzantines and the Russians. As for the origins of the very word Rus, it's still the subject of debate. Whether there was a Viking tribe with such name and which Rurik came from, or a Russian tribe, or there was such river is still unclear.

Whatever they say about Wiki, it's a fairly reliable tool when you look for some general information on general and not very specific subjects, or pictures of certain people or things, so I would encourage you to use it here.
