Travel in the Empire of Kim Jong Un - A Glimpse of North Korea - from Der Spiegel

Der Spiegel article - Travels in the Empire of Kim Jong Un: A Glimpse of North Korea. Has eleven pictures, the first makes me think of the stories from the USSR where people had to clap after Stalin spoke, and no one would stop first, until someone toppled over. Some of the generals look like they are about to topple over. Some of the other pictures make one think of "1984", which I assume was why they were selected.

Raw video from the AP from 1/26/2012 of His excellency Kim Jong Un visiting a school upon the occasion of the lunar Chinese New Year.

Raw video from the AP from 1/8/2012 of His Excellency Kim Jong Un driving a tank.

The Honorable Michael S. Dukakis, former Massachusetts Governor and 1988 Democratic Party Presidential Nominee, driving a tank.

I think you got the wrong link. Here is Kim in the driver's hatch of a PT-76.

[And I'm morally compelled to point out that Dukakis never drove or operated any part of the tank. He just went for a joy ride.]

...something very very sad about all these types of propaganda photos from the North, cant quite put my finger on what exactly, but makes me feel real sad for the average folk there...
