It does look pretty good.

Of course, it's also going to require Steam...

I have a let's play of this game on Youtube if any one wants to check it out. It has been compared to Civ 5 but it actually isn't very much like Civ 5 in my opinion other than the fact they are both hexed based games. The game lacks in many areas such as diplomacy and AI but the combat is a lot of fun. You can check out my videos and decide if it is something you might like.

There is a review of this on Rock, Paper, Shotgun.
Another review at www.grogheads.com

I have not played the demo or the game yet. But having read all of the reviews it seems like a modern Master of Magic. This game is much less building oriented and much more combat oriented than Civ 5. Many are commenting that the game is addicting and gives that "just one more turn" feeling.

Although I hate the Steam only distribution, the game is only $20.

This is one fun game. I would say it reminds me of Fantasy General in spirit.

Weekend specials for Warlock: Master of the Arcane include Steam for $9.99 and GamersGate for $9.98 U.S. And I paid $20 just a month ago when it was first released.
