SCTV also had musicians on the show and had some really good songs I like. Here's a clip with Dave Thomas as Walter Cronkite and Rick Moranis as David Brinkley. I really like "Someday Someway" by Robert Gordon.
John Candy wearing a shark's head and playing the "Jaws" theme song is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. In my opinion there should be a national holiday for John Candy. Here's to John Candy. My oldest song was watching this episode on DVD tonight, so it reminded me of how awesome it is! Also, you can see the brilliance of John Candy when as Mayor Tommy Shanks he says "Ich bin ein Melonviller". John Candy rules!
