You must be laughing. With the englighted opinions of our local specialists, we will finally decide what is the best tank to fight and being produced in WWII. And it doesn't matter that is over since 67 years.

Aye, tanks are boring. It's like asking who was your favourite fat bully at school.
Now if you want to talk about the coolness of an Fw190 diving on a stream of B-17's then we might be going somewhere of interest.

Indeed. The entire discussion is an exercise is a rather pointless minutiea and it makes the forum look sloppy. Too many stickies when the entire discussion could be handled in a single thread
Ugh!

Let them get it out of their systems now and hopefully there will be no more tankie stuff for the next five years or so! Hopefully.

He will give each of you your own opinions if you can be patient enough and wait.

Well I would recommend: Battles with the Luftwaffe -the bomber campaign against Germany 1942-45, by: Theo Boiten and Martin Bowman.
Now if we all read the same book we can exchange experiences like the ladies do at the hairdressers.
See yah at Tony's,
Ed

Quite right. Ideally we should have a poll on the best artillery piece of WWII. That was where the real destruction was.

Agreed, and given that in the past three months there have been a grand total of 6 threads started on the Soviet Armour forum and 17 in the Western Armour sub forum it could be argued that you could get away with only one all encompassing Armour sub forum and dump all the stickies in there?

You would probably want to keep a seperate German and Axis Armor forum. For some reason those over engineered tanks have a large fan base.

I'd go with that. Although my father has a collection of books on the topic that I couldn't begin to rival!

I disagree.
If any sillyness cannot be countered, then we have no chance against the greater issues. Further, if such an unimportant debate cannot be dismissed with a couple of words, accept it.
