I am having trouble finding again the map showing the lower route.

Good link Pru, most interesting.
Now the cooper in FL. Was any signs of smelting found there or just items made of cooper? With some items found is't not an indication of major trade up and down the Continent

Christoper never touched the Americas, matter of fact China, and parts of Europe were found to have reached the Americas before Christopher.

John,
I can't say about Florida, but the site near Slidell had signs of smelting and impressions in the ground where it was poured.
Actually Cristoforo did reach the New World. I would say the Caribbean Islands were part of the Americas. Where Columbus differs is he widely publicized his discovery. The other people kept it a secret.

Columbus never set foot on the NA Continent. He just hit a few Caribbean Islands. However, he did discover S. America when he landed in Venezuela.

North America
The Caribbean, where Columbus first landed, as well as Central America are part of the North American continent.
Sincerely,
M
