Thanks man! Let's give it until March 12, then cut it off. That'll give folks one more week to decide. WarDog can firm up his choice of topic.

Wedi, where those one vents are near the torpedeo tubes, what about
gluing the tube walls in for stability and then drill the holes?
What are you drilling the holes with?

Actually it parts of the sorts for the tubes that will block the vent holes on the back side.
In the pic below, from the instructions, the red line is the edge of the tube structure that will glue to the u-boat's hull. The blue line is where the piece will fit against the hull on the inside and the dashed orange line is where the vent hole are located. As you can see the attachment point for the tube and tube doors glues along the length of the vent holes. Need to see if I can find pic of this area with the outer doors open.
Here is what I am using to drill out the holes. For the larger holes I use a battery powered dremel I have and for the smaller I have a hand pin-vice drill. I also have a collection of mini drill bits.

Well the Alabama is driving me nuts. I Am shooting for the Measure 12 modified scheme she undertook her shakedown cruise on. I know what colors she was SUPPOSED to be painted in, but the pics show something else. Which is driving my AMS crazy. Funny I have no problems with the errors in the Hase kit, but the paint stuff is making me twitch.

Been too busy with life to work on a model, thus the ship is still in drydock. Anybody else with an update?

I am trying to finish other kits on the workbench to literally make room to work on my Uboat. (see "The Production Line" thread!)
