Question: OOB for The People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and Navy

as well as The People's Liberation Army Naval Air Force (PLANAF) order of battle for...

The Attack of Taiwan

I know it hasn't happened but I would like to know what China would throw against the Republic of China Air Force that defends Taiwan.

Taiwan as we know is even closer in bed with us than China is and China claims the island is theirs. The US gives substantial aid to Taiwan, giving them some of our laser airbase defense anti-missile systems.

Will the Chinese air attack mirror the Soviets? Using numerical advantage to overwhelm the enemy?

What is the Republic of China Air Force order of battle for a counter-offensive against the People's Liberation forces?
How many Taiwan F-16s would it take until their pilots are out of missiles and getting chased back to base by squadrons upon squadrons of Chinese fighters?

What about naval support? Do you think an air attack would happen simultaneously by a ground invasion? What about this order of battle and Taiwan's defensive order of battle?

To me, if this showdown takes place it would be far more powerful than any Chinese attack to date. Timing would be crucial. Maybe China could engage the US with North Korea while they take Taiwan. I don't know but Taiwan has some wealth and geopolitical advantages that China probably resents not having.

Would the United States aid Taiwan?
