At that time (May 40 to May 41) it was only the British & commonwealth and Chinese people who were dying for your freedom.

Do you honestly think that had Hitler's war gone according to plan in Europe and later Russia, that the Nazi's/Fascists/ would have stopped and gone home for frankfurters, ravioli and Paella?

Brazil was 'though late in the war' part of the Allied cause for said freedom, which means that Britain etc. were also fighting for Brazil.
