Iran anniversary 'punch' will stun West: Khamenei

Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that Iran is set to deliver a "punch" that will stun world powers during this week's 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution.
"The Iranian nation, with its unity and God's grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned," Khamenei, who is also Iran's commander-in-chief, told a gathering of air force personnel.

Being full of sh...it is part of being Persian. Their culture, their language which is full of wild exaggerations, poetry, bragging, machismo and drama, all reflect that. It's a difficult culture to understand from our perspective. Khamanei's statement is bait. I hope we don't swallow it.

I kinda doubt that, Probably just going to do the usual "missile tests and parades" posturing.

If there's going to be anything big, I'd bet on either a test nuclear detonation, a new ICBM that can reach the US, or a human spaceflight launch.

Considering the technological prowess of the Iranians,they may be debuting this new-fangled technology called "steam power".

Seriously though,most likely it will be a test of something everyone else in the world has mastered decades ago.I doubt it will be something as serious as a nuke test.It it were to happen,this will get interesting real fast.

All in all remember, don't take Middle Eastern style fiery speeches at anything near face value, the people that are listening to them don't, why do people in the West not get that? Think Professional Wrestling.......
