The latest from our good buddy Chavez

I wonder if he really believes this stuff -

Hugo is now claiming the US is trying to occupy Haiti and our relief efforts are falling short. He says American doctors are "afraid" to help people in the slums and have to request help from Venezuelan and Cuban doctors.

ps
I wondering why Baghdad Bob hasn't gone to work for this guy.

Is "Comical Ali" still kicking about? Mind you, he's Iraqi and Chavez new best buddies are the Iranians so might not work out unless the fact that he's not a Yankee Imperialist trumps all of the above.

I did a Wiki search and it says he is living in the UAE with his family.

Mountain Man has disabled reputation
Hugo doesn't seem to be wrapped too tightly, and he obviously suffers from a condition known as "alligator mouth".

Confuscious say: "Alligator mouth overload rabbit a$$."

The only thing it ever had going for it was its name.

That and a quite extraordinary group of people- some of whom I got to know- desperate to escape. So desperate, they proved extremely resourceful in their ways of getting out. A lot speak both French and English, and seem well aware of the laws of commerce. Given (bonne) chance, they'd do well anywhere.

It's a tragedy in their leadership, which has historically been utterly hopeless and corrupt and would put Equatorial Guinea to shame.

They need another Toussaint Louverture- 'The Opening'? What an irony in an earthquake.

http://www.goal.ie/ is a useful (% to target quick vs costs) it seems to this simple lad way to go, as opposed to larger bureaucracies and no vested interest- just IME and research.

How much aid has the Venezuelan government sent to Haiti? Not making a joke, just wondering if anyone knows.

Why would anybody want to occupy a so worthless even all the trees and vegetation have been cut down leaving a barren landscape so there's nothing of value left, not even a pretty tree? Even a stray dog wouldn't want to occupy Haiti because there are no trees to **** on.

If Napoleon Bonaparte couldn't sort the place out, I'm not sure anyone else has a chance. Least of all that bloated bureaucracy, the UN. I'd take my chances with the US Military, with a proven reputation for efficiency.

There just seem to be too many Chiefs and not enough Indians, and too much PR at the expense of real efficiency. Every minute spent in front of a camera is perhaps 2 minutes of someone's life lost- one for the subject, another for the cameraman and ++ for anyone else playing around.
