The horse thief of Berlin.

Return of the Quadriga. It seems that the actual waggon was covered with a blanket, so I'd say the artist showed it here uncovered for the added effect.

I know that it is not Napoleonic era, per se, but does anyone have anything from the Great Northern War?

Hello, my first post here. I only joined this forum because I collect images of battle paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries, so I had to join this forum to view the attachments.
To give something in return to the community I found this wonderful painting by artist Bogdan Willevalde, or Villewalde, think he was Russian
Capture of a French regiment's eagle by the cavalry of the Russian guard at Austerlitz

Here is one of my favourites, it was the cover of the Jena! wargame by clash of arms, and the book Charge! by Digby Smith, wich I translated to Spanish.
I found a good quality pic but it was too small, so playing a bit with photochop, I came up with something quite satisfying

And another Detaille painting, this picture is in an American museum, but the picture on internet is dark and don't like it very much much, I retouched it and hope it looks good.
My contribution is to post pictures you will not find anywhere else, or a better quality version of an existing pic.

Here's a picture by the great Terence Cuneo. An 11th Hussar going through shot, shell and mousetrap.

I post large images because I use them as desktop wallpapers
Blücher haranguing his troops:
"My children! I have promised my brother
Wellington that tomorrow I will be at his side! Don't disappoint me!"

This print and the above, are by Richard Knötel, and my own scans
The evening of Ligny.
With Blücher disappeared, the defeated Prussians retire, while Gneisenau issues orders for the retreat to Wavre. In the foreground, tired and uneasy canoneers covering the retreat, prepare to fire canister from their howitzer against the French wich are very close.
