I am unable to find a listing for the Falklands war, where would I find it?
There are some interesting threads.
“In seven weeks a task force of 28,000 men and over 100 ships assembled and sailed 8000 miles. It fought off combat aircraft that out-numbered its own by six to one. It put 10,000 men ashore on a hostile coast and fought several pitched battles against the enemy. And brought them to surrender within three and a half weeks”
What happened is now History.

Even the tracked upgraded APC M-113 were prohibited for use for their lack of sufficient armour” And he said the Israelis had added a cannon to the NAMER (a new APC based on the Merkave chassis) in light of the recent fighting.
On Friday we hosted a reception commemorating the 540th anniversary of the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first guru in Sikhism. It was the first time that this holiday has ever been celebrated at the White House. Members of the Sikh community from around the country were invited to celebrate the occasion with traditional hymns led by the Sikh Kirtani Chanters from the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India. Several administration officials were in attendance, including Dr. John Holdren (Office of Science & Technology Policy), Tina Tchen (Office of Public Engagement), Michael Strautmanis (Chief of Staff to Valerie Jarrett), Adolfo Carrion (Urban Affairs), and Nancy Anne DeParle (Health Reform).
WASHINGTON - The White House is on a collision course with Catholic bishops in an intractable dispute over abortion that could blow up the fragile political coalition behind President Barack Obama's health care overhaul.A top Obama administration official on Thursday praised the new Senate health care bill's attempt to find a compromise on abortion coverage — even as an official of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops said Sen. Harry Reid's bill is the worst he's seen so far on the divisive issue.
The bishops were instrumental in getting tough anti-abortion language adopted by the House, forcing Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to accept restrictions that outraged liberals as the price for passing the Democratic health care bill. Reid, D-Nev., now faces a similar choice: Ultimately, he will need the votes of Democratic senators who oppose abortion to get his bill through the Senate.

This was Phebe's idea and a good one.

I thought it might be interesting to explore a relatively obscure area of historical research which deals with the rise of the Freikorps in response to the Spartacists in Germany. The arena would include the social unrest that occurred in Germany from 1918 to 1925.

It would be interesting to also look a little further into the future and perhaps detect the seeds of National Socialism being sown.

Looking forward to your input

Best regards,
