Farnborough International 2004A J Summersgill October 22, 2004 | 0 comments | Print | E-mail STATIC DISPLAYS An impressive array of civilian and military aircraft were on display for the public to view over the weekend of 24th and 25th July, 2004. There are too many to show here, so as before, here’s a choice selection of what was available for viewing. This is a naval Westland Super Lynx. An Augusta Westland EH101 – one of the most advanced Helicopters in the world. Rather odd to see men in business suits crawling all over these machines. A Sikorsky UH60 Blackhawk – actually rather smaller than I was expecting it to be, but a fine looking machine nonetheless. Here’s an F15-E “Strike Eagle”. And next to it, an F-16 C/D “Fighting Falcon”. This is a British Nimrod maritime reconnaissance aircraft. And this, a Canberra. Note the offset cockpit. Here’s a Panavia Tornado GR-4 – a ground attack variant of this powerful twin-engined plane. A pair of British Harrier Jump-Jets. And a plane of magnificent vintage – a Hurricane.
