It is a take-off of an older game called Gamma World that occurs in a post nuke world. The characters and critters are pretty varied and interesting. The scenery and visuals lead you to suspend belief and immerse yourself in the experience. I've played it for five days now and I dream about strategy and tactics! On the darker side, AI for your enemies is not too smart. You go to a "town" and find 10 people populating it. No sign of farming, repair work, or industry though 200 years has supposedly passed. The setting is fairly creepy though and there are enough locations and experiences to satisfy the hardest grognard! Worth the 50 dollars....something I have experienced having bough 12 $50 games and been often disappointed. FallOut 3 is a very good game of combat and strategy.
