Dystopian Wars – September Releases
Armchair General has just scored the vendor list for the upcoming releases to Dystopian Wars. As expected there are a few new Covenant of the Antarctic models in there, but there is also a surprise waterline model of the Federated States of America’s Landship, too.
As an amphibious tank it’s a danger on both land and at sea.
The Covenant of Antarctica, however, has a curious release: the Callimachus Orb, which apparently has the ability to somehow distort time. It will be interesting to see what kind of impact this has on the battlefield.
Other ships being released are the Prometheus Dreadnought. At 275 points, it’s the most expensive of all models currently available (the second most expensive is the Prussians’ Blucher Dreadnought at 235 points). Boasting main turrets, broadsides, a particle accelerator, and a Bombard, it’s going to be a beast to deal with.
Also arriving is the Galen Escort, designed to provide some defensive Ack-Ack, and the Plutarch Destroyer.
Last, but not least, is the Icarus Medium Flyer. Boasting a main turret with a 270 degree arc of fire, which can be replaced with an energy turret if desired. Its secondary weapons systems provide it with fire to cover all remaining angles. It should be interesting to see in a fight.
