Cold War Insights – A 10-Day TourArmchair General staff | November 12, 2009 | 0 comments | Print | E-mail ArmchairGeneral.com readers may recall that back on October 27, 2008, we ran an exclusive interview with Francis Gary Powers Jr., founder of the Cold War Museum and son of the American U-2 pilot who was shot down over the Soviet Union, August 17, 1960. ACG recently received information that Francis Gary Powers, Jr., will be leading a tour to Russia to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the U-2 spy plane incident, one of the best-known incidents of the Cold War. The tour, called Cold War Insights: The U-2 Incident 50 Years Later, will depart May 1, 2010. Readers who may be interested in this unique tour can click here to download a pdf with information on the Cold War Insights tour.
