In the darkness of June 5 – 6, your company of the 2d Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Regiment will land in gliders behind German lines as part of the Allied D-Day invasion. Your men of the "Ox and Bucks" have two objectives to capture: a bridge over the Caen Canal and one over the Orne River that runs parallel to the canal, several hundred meters apart. You have to decide where to land your glider-borne troops for the greatest chance of success.

Will you have all six gliders land near the western end of the Orne River Bridge, in order to seize that span quickly then move on to the Caen Canal?

Will you split your forces to capture both bridges simultaneously, landing three gliders west of the Orne Bridge and three east of the Caen Canal?

Or will you have three gliders put down east of the Orne and the other three west of the canal, an "outside-in" flanking approach to seize both bridges simultaneously?

The decision is a critical one. Good men’s lives – and perhaps the success of the invasion – depend on you making the best choice.
