Background: Major Bradley T. Gericke was commissioned in Armor in 1988 from the United States Military Academy. He holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University with an emphasis in Early-Modern European and British history. Maj. Gericke has published several college texts, numerous essays regarding military affairs, and co-edited City Fights – an anthology about urban combat. He is currently writing a book entitled Spearhead: America’s Third Armored Division in Peace and War, 1941-1992. His assignments include service with tank battalions in the 3d Armored Division in Germany and Southwest Asia, the 2d Infantry Division in Korea, and as an assistant professor in the Department of History at West Point. Maj. Gericke is currently assigned as a Strategic Planner and Speechwriter within the Commanding General’s Staff Group at Headquarters, U.S. Army Forces Command.
