But to start us off in this section of my report, here’s a picture of a guy who isn’t even in a uniform. Who can he be? Readers of ACG’s "Fire and Steel" Interactive Combat Story in the magazine will recognise him - yes it really IS Lt. Devin (real name Damian) from the story, wearing his ACG cap and about to go off with Seimon and myself on a small photo shoot. Watch this space for a future article! These chaps are part of a unit dedicated to recreating the look and feel of regular German Army soldiers during the period 1939-1940. It’s nice to see a unit that doesn’t base itself on an elite Division of some kind, just run of the mill everyday soldiers. And here are…the French Resistance!! They kindly helped out "Devin", Seimon and myself in the small shoot I mentioned earlier. Here’s another sneak preview from a future piece - the French Resistance running into action! And just avoiding a nearby patrol of German soldiers… Russian troops were also in abundance, including members of the 2nd Guards re-enactment group, who had a small camp set up around a parked T-34 Tank. This was an impressive display of living history. I couldn’t resist including a picture of a pretty lady on a Tank. Sorry. And in contrast, check out the Junior Paratrooper I found walking around.
