We are looking for a few good people to join our squad and be a part of the Armchair General website team. We have a lot of exciting things planned, and we need some special talent to help keep those plans in focus. We are looking for the following types of assistance, but if you think you have a skill that we MUST have for our website, or if you are a keen volunteer enthusiast willing to help us bring military history to life, please drop us a line!

PC and Board Game Reviewers – We are looking for freelance game reviewers to help us build our reviews database. Previous published work is preferred, but not absolutely required. Demonstration of your writing skills will definitely be required. We look for balanced, insightful articles that will help a reader decide if a particular game would appeal to his or her tastes. Your best guide is to read several of our recent reviews. And remember – the Website is called ArmchairGeneral; games reviewed should reflect a military theme or require players to utilize strategy and tactics. Email your proposal for a game to review and a writing sample to contact03 [-at/] armchairgeneral.com.

Military History Writers – We will consider proposals for concise articles that offer insight into military history, but we no longer publish lengthy battle accounts or analysis, military bibliography and the like. Any articles should be 600–1,500 words long. Email your proposal and a writing sample to contact03 [-at/] armchairgeneral.com.

Traveling Through History – We will consider proposals for concise articles, accompanied by 6–12 quality photos, about historic sites that would be of interest to our readers. Remember, those readers are across America and around the world, so any subject needs to have sufficient appeal to a widely spread audience. As with other articles, these should be limited to 600 – 1,500 words. Email your proposal and a writing sample to contact03 [-at/] armchairgeneral.com.

Book/Movie/DVD Reviewers – We have a need for qualified people to read history books and then write short (600–1,500 word) reviews on recent books, movies and DVDs that have military or military history themes. Email your proposal and a writing sample to contact03 [-at/] armchairgeneral.com.
